About this crossing

Rainbow Bridge is the downtown Niagara Falls crossing, and it is the one of the three Niagara bridges that carries essentially no commercial traffic. The Peace Bridge and the Lewiston-Queenston bridge either side of it handle the freight; Rainbow is the tourist crossing and the view. CBP usually has no commercial reading here, and this site reports that as not reported rather than as a zero. A port that sees no trucks for most of the day is not a clear commercial lane, and showing it as one would be actively misleading to a driver deciding where to cross. The useful thing to know about it is its position. Rainbow sits between the two freight crossings on the Niagara river, so a carrier working that corridor should treat the three as a set. The commercial answer is almost always the Peace Bridge or Lewiston, and Rainbow is the one to rule out first.
