Road incidents
Closures and major collisions on the freight corridors we monitor. Click a pin or a row for detail.
In the US: lane and road closures from New York, Washington, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri on the federal work zone standard, plus three California districts (Central Valley, San Diego and Imperial, and Orange County and Los Angeles). In Canada: Ontario and British Columbia. We publish every source that is free and needs no key. Other states and provinces publish behind keys we do not hold, so this page is not yet coast to coast.

What a closure costs
A lane closure is not a delay, it is a decision. A single-lane night closure on a corridor carrying thousands of trucks a day moves the queue rather than removing it, and the cost lands as driver hours against a driving limit, not as a line on an invoice.
Read the type before the location. Closures are the ones that reroute you. Roadwork is scheduled and usually carries a date range, so it belongs in planning rather than in today's decision. This page separates the two and invents neither: both come straight from the agency's own feed, with the coordinates the agency published.
Coverage is honest about its edges. Eight states on the federal work zone standard, three California districts, Ontario and British Columbia serve open feeds. Other states and provinces publish behind keys we do not hold, and Caltrans serves only some of its districts. Where a source is missing it is missing from the page, not estimated into it.
