What drives Fort St. John prices
Fort St. John is a natural gas service hub on the Hwy 97 corridor, the route better known as the Alaska Highway. The city serves the Montney play, the natural gas formation that drives activity across the region. Truck traffic through the city runs on the work that gas exploration and production bring to the area. Carriers stage equipment and supplies here on the way north and back south along the corridor. The gas patch is what keeps freight moving through Fort St. John.
