What drives Abbotsford prices
Abbotsford is a Fraser Valley centre for agriculture and trucking. The city sits on Hwy 1 near the Sumas crossing into the United States, a crossing also called Huntingdon. That position keeps fuel cheaper than Metro Vancouver. Carriers moving freight through the valley and across the border fill here rather than further west, which makes the city a natural stop on a Hwy 1 run. The farming and trucking work that anchor the local economy keep the market busy through the year.
