What drives Brandon prices
Brandon is a western Manitoba agriculture hub on the Trans-Canada Highway, the Highway 1 corridor that carries freight across the province. A rail yard sits alongside the highway, tying the city into both road and rail freight movement. As the agriculture hub for western Manitoba, Brandon is where farm output from the surrounding country is gathered and moved out. Its spot on the main east-west route makes it a natural stop and transfer point for trucks running the Trans-Canada. Rail and highway work side by side here, keeping grain and other goods flowing through the region.
