What drives Grande Prairie prices

Grande Prairie is a northern Alberta oil-and-gas service hub on the Hwy 43 corridor. Its diesel market runs on that role. The Hwy 43 corridor carries the service traffic and supply runs that keep the surrounding oil-and-gas patch working, and Grande Prairie sits in the middle of it. Pump prices in a service town like this track the cost of moving fuel up the corridor to the region and the pace of activity around the patch. Grande Prairie's pricing tracks the corridor and the oil-and-gas work it serves.
